John Lee Quartet-Livestream

× Raised in Nanaimo, and currently based in Victoria and Vancouver, the charismatic multi-instrumentalist John Lee has been called upon to play bass, piano, drums and guitar with such artists as Ingrid Jensen, Phil Dwyer, Brad Turner, Cyrus Chestnut and Seamus Blake. Lee's debut album as a bassist and leader features this same ensemble and is due out on Cellar Live in 2022. The gifted New York-based drummer Carl Allen has played with greats including Freddie Hubbard, Rickie Lee Jones, Sammy Davis Jr., Branford Marsalis, Lena Horne, Ruth Brown, Wayne Shorter and Herbie Hancock. American pianist Eric Reed has enjoyed extended stints with Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard, Buster Williams, and Wynton Marsalis. Canadian saxophonist and bandleader Cory Weeds has performed with the likes of Joey DeFrancesco and Christian McBride, and his record label Cellar Music Group is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
