Lennie Gallant

Lennie Gallant is probably the first Global Roots artist to have intergalactic airplay. His album, When We Get There, went up to the International Space Station with Canadian astronaut Julie Payette. Though he may be among the stars, this PEI roots artist stays grounded drawing on his Acadian roots to tell stories of his home province. His 11 albums have won him a host of awards and nominations from the Junos and East Coast Music Awards, including ECMA 2017 Entertainer of the Year. He was inducted to the Order of Canada in 2004.
